People on the bus

As a poor unfortunate soul who can't afford a car, i'm subjected to the daily traumas of the bus ride to and from work. the bus ride home from work doesn't seem to bother me as much. perhaps it's because i'm going home, perhaps it's because i'm too tired to care. Anyway, the bus ride to work is usually quite eventfull. There's so many interesting people on the bus (and i'm proud to say i'm one of them!). Now there's a few types of people on the bus who piss me off. they include: the staring creepy people, loudmouth teenagers, seat hoggers, and people who stand up 3 blocks away from their stop.

ok the staring creepy people. these people for some reason find you interesting enough to stare at you for uncomfortable periods of time. i frequently find myself stared at, maybe i'm funny looking, maybe it's because i'm not super thin, recently i think it's cause i have bright red streaks in my hair. regardless, stop looking at me you freak :(

Loudmouth teenagers. ok ok we've all been there. but seriously it's disgusting to hear14 year olds talk about boys and sex, every second word being a swear word, dissing their own parents, and generally behaving like idiots. kids these days don't care about anything but themselves.. it's sad. do what you want off the bus.. but on the bus.. shut the hell up!

Seat hoggers. these people are the ones who take up two seats even when the bus is crowded and people have to stand in the aisles. it bothers me that people can be so inconciderate. seriously.. would it kill you to share a seat with someone? if you have a problem sitting with strangers then go get a car or suck it up!

now for some reason the people who stand up early for their stop really bother me. every morning it's the same thing.. we're 5 blocks away from the bus station, and people are jumping up like they're going to miss the stop. or maybe if they're not standing right at the door the bus driver will decide not to stop. like fs people, we'll all get off at that stop whether we stand up 10 blocks away, or stand up when the bus stops. i was over in england and i noticed this was standard practice over there. i understand the tube only stops for a certain period of time so you kinda have to be at the door or you might not be able to get off.. but this is a city bus with a real life busdriver who can see you and isn't going to leave until you're off his bus. SIT DOWN!

pushy people. i almost forgot to mention the pushy people. do you remember when we were little kids waiting for the bus and we had to stand in line and get on the bus in an orderly fashion? apparently when you're older it all goes right out the window. there are a bunch of older ladies who take my bus and i always get pushed out of the way by them trying to get on first. it's a certain ethnic group who i won't name as i don't want to appear racist. but trust me.. i'm not a small girl.. and they literally PUSH me out of the way. same as getting off the bus people.. the bus driver isn't going to leave until we're all on the bus. doesnt' matter if your second or 20th to get on the bus.. everyone will get on. and i assume it's because they want to get a seat. well in our country (canada btw) us youngins will generally move to let our elders have a seat. but i sure won't want to incline if you're being rude and pushy in the first place!

ok enough of a rant. i really need to save up and get a car! :)
